After a 32-year career at IBM where he held various executive positions including those of Chief Learning Officer and deputy General Manager for the European IBM PC business, Dr. Richard Straub jointly with his wife Ilse founded the Global Peter Drucker Forum in 2009. The inaugural conference was held in that year to honor Peter Drucker on what would have been his 100th birthday. The Forum is now in its 16th year and has become a globally recognized platform and reference for advancing the practice of management. In 2024 Richard Straub announced a flagship initiative spanning the five years to the 20th Forum in 2028 to reframe and renew management for the 21st century, under the title “The Next Management”.
